Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL) Training

Do you need a Construction Stormwater General Permit from Ecology? If your project disturbs over an acre of land or is in a subdivision, you probably do. One of the requirements of this permit starts in October: all sites disturbing over an acre must have a Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL). The CESCL is trained to inspect, install, and manage stormwater controls on your site. Because Ecology requires the CESCL to be on-call or on-site at all times, most companies will need more than one employee trained as a CESCL.

Forklift Safety Training & Certification

There has been changes in OSHA rules and regulations regarding Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT). Anyone who operates a forklift, or and for of PIT is required to attend a forklift safety course and obtain certification that they understand how to safely operate a PIT. A refresher course is required every three years. Fines up to $7,000.00 per uncertified person can be assessed.
