Are you passionate about public policy, government affairs, and making a real impact on the community? Do you want to be part of a dynamic team that champions the future of home building in Washington State? Then, we want YOU to join us as a 2025 Legislative Session Intern at the Central Washington Home Builders Association (CWHBA)!

What will you do?
As a Legislative Intern, you’ll play an active role in:
- Member Communication: Help us craft messages that keep our members informed and engaged with legislative updates and advocacy opportunities.
- Testimony Support: Assist with preparing key testimony and supporting materials to influence important policy decisions.
- Research and Policy Tracking: Keep tabs on all the important bills and regulations, and help us prepare summaries and talking points that support our advocacy efforts.
- Event Assistance: Be part of the action by helping to plan and execute legislative visits, meetings with lawmakers, and policy forums.
What are we looking for?
- A Passion for Policy: Whether you're studying political science, public policy, communications, or a related field, we want someone eager to learn and make an impact!
- Strong Communicator: You’re great with written and verbal words, and can communicate complex ideas with clarity.
- Detail-Oriented and Organized: You’ll keep us on track with your keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Team Player: While you’re ready to take initiative, you’re also excited to collaborate and contribute to a bigger mission.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience planning events (++points for large-scale or nonprofit events).
- A detail-obsessed planner with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- A collaborative team player who values relationships, creativity, and results.
- Strong project management abilities to manage budgets, vendors, volunteers, and timelines.
Compensation & Perks
- $18 - $20 per hour (based on experience and education)
- $45 per month cell phone stipend
- Temporary position running from January 13, 2025, to April 30, 2025
