Perry Technical Institute
- Outstanding Kitchen
Perry Technical Institute is proud to feature their first constructed home on the Tour of Homes™ this year. We welcome the community and hope you have the opportunity to visit the home to not only see the quality construction from our Construction program, but also see the work completed by our Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC/R programs.
The Perry Technical Institute Construction program collaborated with the school’s Electrical, HVAC/R, and Plumbing programs to complete nearly every part of the home on South 83rd Avenue. The home is 2,127 square feet and features a bonus room over the garage that consists of 288 square feet. Net proceeds from the sale of this house will benefit student scholarships.
The kitchen features cabinets constructed of solid maple wood with many upgraded features such as two colors, staggered heights and depths of the upper/wall cabinets. You’ll see two different types of granite countertops in the kitchen: the island finished with the chiseled edge and the perimeter with an eased edge. The home also features Whirlpool appliances which can be controlled from an iPhone.
The spacious master suite and bathroom are another focal point of the home. The master bath is comprised of a large walk-in with two shower heads, a large soaking tub, double vanities with undermount sinks, granite top and a large walk-in closet. The home also has two guest bedrooms and a bathroom with double, undermount, vanity sinks featuring a natural stone quartzite top. A room located off of the entryway can serve multiple purposes—be it a formal dining room, den/office or a sitting room. Near the kitchen, a nook eating area can serve as a family dining area as well. A sleek, state-of-the-art fireplace is located in the great room, and the flooring in this entire area is eight-inch, wood plank. The entry door is a grand feature as it is oversized in both height and width. In addition, the landscaping was completed by Perry Tech’s maintenance department.
Perry Tech has received approval from the Washington State Gambling Commission to raffle the next home build. Tickets for the home will be on sale during the tour. For more information, please visit perrytech.edu/raffle.
